Some exciting news has come to hand – we are currently constructing a new music teaching / recording studio in St Kilda.
Stay tuned to see some photos of the new studio, and until then it is business as usual. Contact us if you’d like drum lessons!
Drum Rudiments, or sticking patterns, are crucial things to practise if you want to become the best drummer you can be. The best resource I have found on the web for rudiment study is the Vic Firth website. You can find it here: http://www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments.php
Learning rudiments is essential to becoming a good drummer. And luckily there is a free awesome resource on the web – The Rudiments Wikipedia Page – which can be found at this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_rudiment
And if you’re not sure how to to play them, youtube is also a valuable and free resource.
But remember you can’t beat having a good teacher – so please get in touch if you’d like some lessons!
While electric drumkits are great to practise on, they are not ideal in a lesson environment. There is so much to learn about the intricacies of an acoustic drumkit, and the only way to learn about these is to learn on one.
We offer lessons on a professional Gretsch Renown Maple drumkit which you can check out here…http://www.gretschdrums.com/?fa=drums&sid=565.
